Frank Derrick,
a resident of Park Terrace, says:
| I'm a postman. I make about $4,000 a year. My wife,
Geraldene, and I moved here from the South Side. We've got a brick
ranch with three bedrooms, two TV sets, an air conditioner, a piano,
a 1953 Chrysler, and the best lawn on the block. A lot of Negroes
never think too much about their lawns in the city, but when they
come out here they really put all of themselves into their homes. |
